Sustainability & Environmental Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
1. Our Commitment & Vision
Easy Supply LTD (trading as Easy Supply, company registration no. 16202697) supplies eco-friendly food packaging and disposables to hospitality, retail and catering businesses across the United Kingdom. Our brand line — "Eco-Friendly Solutions for Every Bite" — reflects a simple belief: everyday packaging should do its job well while placing as little burden on the planet as possible.
Our vision is to make lower-impact packaging the easy, affordable default for the businesses we serve. We focus on materials such as bagasse, kraft, recycled paper and other recyclable or compostable options, and we aim to help our customers move away from unnecessary single-use plastic where practical alternatives exist.
This policy sets out what we do today, what we are working towards, and how we hold ourselves accountable. We try to describe our practices honestly and avoid overstated environmental claims.
2. Sustainable Products & Materials
Wherever we can, we prioritise materials with a lower environmental footprint. Our core ranges include:
- Bagasse and moulded fibre — plates, bowls, trays and clamshells made from sugarcane fibre, a by-product of sugar production, which is compostable in the right conditions.
- Kraft and recycled paper — food boxes, bags, cups and wraps designed to be recyclable within widely available paper streams.
- Recyclable and compostable lines — products chosen, where possible, to be recyclable or certified compostable rather than sent to landfill.
We work to reduce reliance on single-use plastic by offering fibre- and paper-based alternatives across as many categories as practical. Where plastic remains the most suitable option for food safety or product performance, we look for recyclable formats and clear on-pack guidance.
We also aim to offer PFAS-free products where possible and to prefer suppliers that are reducing intentionally added PFAS ("forever chemicals") in food-contact packaging. Certifications and technical specifications vary between product lines, so we encourage customers to check individual product pages or contact us for documentation on a specific item.
3. Responsible Sourcing & Suppliers
The environmental value of a product depends heavily on how and where it is made. We aim to work with manufacturers and distributors who can evidence responsible practices, and we prefer suppliers who provide recognised material certifications (for example compostability standards such as EN 13432, or paper from responsibly managed sources).
When selecting and reviewing suppliers we consider factors such as:
- the raw materials used and whether they are renewable, recycled or by-products;
- available certifications and test documentation for food contact and end-of-life claims;
- product quality and consistency, so items perform as intended and are not wasted;
- packaging and transport efficiency of inbound goods.
We recognise that supply chains are complex and that we cannot verify every detail at every tier. We aim to improve the questions we ask and the evidence we request over time, rather than making claims we cannot support.
4. Reducing Waste & the Circular Economy
The best packaging is packaging that is used efficiently and recovered at the end of its life. We support the principles of the circular economy in the following ways:
- Recyclable and compostable by design — we favour products that can be recycled or composted through routes available in the UK, so materials can be kept in use rather than lost to landfill.
- Right-sizing packaging — we help customers choose the correct size and format for their products, reducing over-packaging and material waste.
- Reducing waste in our own operations — we aim to reuse inbound transit packaging where safe to do so and to recycle cardboard, paper and other materials from our warehouse.
Recycling and composting outcomes depend on local collection facilities, which vary across the country. We aim to be clear that a product being recyclable or compostable does not guarantee it will be recycled or composted everywhere; correct disposal by the end user and access to suitable facilities both matter.
5. Carbon & Operations
Beyond the products themselves, we look at the impact of how we run the business. Practical steps we take, or are working towards, include:
- Efficient deliveries — consolidating orders and planning dispatch to reduce unnecessary journeys and empty mileage where possible.
- Warehouse energy — using energy more efficiently at our trading and warehouse site and reducing avoidable waste.
- Reducing emissions over time — favouring lower-impact options across our operations and reviewing where the biggest reductions can realistically be made.
We are an SME and do not currently claim to be carbon neutral. Rather than making absolute statements, our aim is steady, measurable improvement in the areas we can directly influence.
6. Packaging & Plastics Regulation Compliance
The UK packaging landscape is subject to evolving regulation, and we aim to stay informed and act responsibly. Areas we monitor include:
- UK Plastic Packaging Tax — we are aware of the tax on plastic packaging that does not contain sufficient recycled content, and we take this into account when reviewing our ranges and favouring fibre- and paper-based alternatives.
- Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging — we aim to understand our obligations under the UK's EPR framework and to keep appropriate records as the scheme develops.
- Single-use plastics rules — we keep our ranges under review in light of restrictions on certain single-use plastic items and prioritise compliant alternatives.
This section is a summary of our approach and is not legal advice. Regulatory requirements change over time; customers with specific compliance questions for their own business should seek their own professional guidance.
7. Helping Our Customers Reduce Their Impact & Correct Disposal
We can only reduce real-world impact when our products are used and disposed of correctly. To help our customers and their own end users, we aim to:
- provide clear material information on product pages so buyers can choose the right option;
- explain, where possible, whether an item is recyclable or compostable and what that requires;
- offer guidance on right-sizing and reducing over-ordering to cut waste.
General disposal guidance:
- Recyclable paper and kraft — empty and, where needed, clean items before placing them in paper or card recycling, following your local council rules.
- Compostable bagasse and fibre — these are designed to break down in the right conditions; check whether your local facilities accept compostable packaging, as many require industrial composting rather than home composting.
- When in doubt — follow your local authority's guidance, as collection and processing differ across the UK.
Because facilities vary, we cannot guarantee a specific end-of-life outcome in every location, but we aim to give accurate, practical information to support the best available choice.
8. Continuous Improvement & Goals
We see sustainability as an ongoing journey rather than a fixed destination. Our current aims include:
- expanding the proportion of our range that is recyclable, compostable or made from recycled or renewable materials, where suitable options exist;
- improving the material and end-of-life information we publish on product pages;
- strengthening the environmental questions we ask of suppliers and the evidence we collect;
- reducing avoidable waste and improving efficiency across our own operations.
We set these as directional goals and aim to review progress honestly. Where we fall short or where trade-offs exist, we would rather acknowledge them than overstate our achievements.
9. How to Give Feedback
